You’ve Got Some Stiff Competition in the 30-Day Challenge!
——————————————————-
30-DAY CHALLENGE IS UNDERWAY!
——————————————————-
Well the 30-Day Challenge is well underway. We’ve got several lively conversations taking place in The IM University’s forum at:
http://www.theimuniversity.com/forum
In case you missed any of the lessons, you’ll find them at:
As we proceed, all of the lessons will be posted under the “Pages” section of the sidebar on my blog for The IM University at www.TheIMUniversity.com .
It looks like you’ve got some stiff competition if you’re participating in the 30-Day Challenge and you intend on winning one of the over $6,500 in prizes!
That means that you can’t wait another minute to get started taking ACTION on what you learn in the lessons!
One participant said it best …
“Reading, reading, so much reading, I need to read, read, and write down my plan.”
There is a TON of information there. And an awful lot more to come yet.
To get through all of it, just take it one step at a time and make sure that you WRITE DOWN — as in on paper or in your computer — your plans and everything that you do as you implement the lessons!
As you implement everything that you learn, your very first step needs to be adding the strategy to your WRITTEN plan.
It is NOT enough to simply learn the material and put it into your head to take action on. Those who take the time to create a WRITTEN plan will get MUCH better results in the 30-Day Challenge!
Since I’ve already bombarded you with nearly 100 pages of materials, I’m putting Step 3 on hold until tomorrow.
Besides, the research phase is probably the most time consuming part of building your business. (It’s not unusual for it to take my students well over a month to do all of the research necessary.)
But tomorrw, stay tuned for “Step 3 - Planning Your Profit Funnel & Your Products”. It’s where we start looking at how you will mone’tize your market.
I have a few more items I need to share with you today …

LINK CORRECTIONS
——————————————————-
Several people have contacted me to let me know that I messed up two of the links in “Step 1 - Mindset, Goal Setting, and Strategic Planning”. The links have now been corrected in the lesson on my blog and in the download.
The correct links are as follows:
Traffic Sources Worksheet —
http://www.askggg.com/trafficsources
Download Step 1 - Mindset —
http://theimuniversity.com/step-1-mindset/
In the future, if I should mess up on links again in any of the 30-Day Challenge materials, the fastest way to get the correct link and notify me of the issue is to check out the “General Discussion” thread in the forum. I’ve started a new topic just for “Link Issues” in that thread.
The materials for the 30-Day Challenge are already well over 150 pages and I’m only about 1/2 way done. That means that there are a LOT of places that I can make boo-boos. Bear with me and I’ll get them all fixed up.

IMPORTANT RESOURCE THAT CAN IMPROVE YOUR RESULTS
——————————————————-
The KEY to success with the plan that I outline in the 30-Day Challenge is what you hear referred to as “Social Marketing“.
I explain why Social Marketing is so powerful in the discussion about becoming an influencer that is located within “Step 2 - Choosing Your Target Market”. If you missed it, you can read it on my blog at:
http://theimuniversity.com/step-2-target-markets/
Essentially, what you MUST do in order to see success in your business is to become an “Influencer”.
An influencer is a leader.
An influencer is a person that others respect.
An influencer is someone that others listen to and follow the influencer’s recommendations.
You’re going to be using Social Marketing to drive traffic to your blog. As your doing this, you’ll need to be an “influencer”.
On the sites you’ll be using — things like social networking sites, forums, article sites, etc. — you’ll be starting a conversation with your audience. That conversation is the beginning of your relationship.
But you need to continue to grow that relationship over time. That way your audience is more likely to perceive you as an influencer, and they are more likely to follow your recommendations.
But how do you continue that conversation to grow that relationship?
There are 2 essential KEYS to this …
1) Blogging
2) Info products
By the end of this week, you’ll be setting up your blog. You’ll be doing so in a strategic way that is designed to improve the conversation and the relationship building.
But on that blog, you’ll want to be getting people onto your list AND you’ll want to get people to download an info product.
This info product can be free or it can be paid. Either one is fine.
BUT — it MUST be one of YOUR info products. It will not work if the info product is put out under someone else’s name.
If the info product is authored by someone else, then it will be that person who is perceived as an influencer … not you.
There are 2 ways to get that info product that you’re going to need. You can either:
a) Write it yourself, or
b) Use PLR products to create one
Using PLR products is a MUCH easier, much faster way to get that info product completed quickly. Since we’re working with a 30-Day time limit here, it’s probably the BEST way for you to go in getting your info product
ready for your blog.
Let me make one thing perfectly clear here …
This info product is essential to your success no matter what it is that you are selling!
You might be selling barbeque grills. An info product will help you sell more of them, and they’re likely to be the higher priced grills that you’ll sell.
You might be selling bathing suits. An info product will help you sell more of them too. And buyers may even be likely to buy 2 instead of 1.
My point is that you cannot skip this part of the process if you really expect to achieve success.
Even network marketers need to lead with an info product. This will not only help network marketers to differentiate themselves from the competition, but it will also help them to sell more of their product
at the same time.
After selling more products, you then build the relationship with your customers, turn them into “product evanelists” (people who just LOVE your
product), and THEN get them into your downline.
They’re much more likely to duplicate your efforts when you do it this way.
In “Step 3 - Planning Your Profit Funnel & Your Products”, we’ll be going over the process that you use for getting product A to sell product B, and product B to sell product C, etc.
By the end of this week, when you put up your blog, you’re going to need to have an info product that you either give away or s’ell from that blog.
If you don’t have one know for the target market that you’ve chosen, then you’d better get started on one IMMEDIATELY! Otherwise you won’t have it ready by the time you put up your blog.
That’s the reason that I’m giving you this heads up today.
Now, if you’ve never before put up a webpage that has a sales letter on it, or if you’ve never tweaked a PLR product before to turn it into your own product, then you’re going to want to get your hands on “7 Days to PLR Profits”. You’ll find it at:
This is a step-by-step guide to modifying the PLR product, modifying the graphics, modifying the sales letter, adding the order buttons, setting up a domain name, and putting everything online.
The guide is almost 50 pages complete with screen shots guiding you through every single step.
It gives you some basic ideas for driving traffic, too. But don’t worry about that — we’ll be covering traffic generation in detail in the 30-Day Challenge lessons.
You are going to need several days to get your info product together, so you’ll need to start looking for an ideal product immediately. The guide will even help you locate products appropriate for your market.

I paid less than $6 for it a few minutes ago, but the price is going up every 10 minutes, so you’ll want to be quick.
I’ve seen a number of $47 courses on this same topic that weren’t nearly as comprehensive or easy to follow.
You’ll want to be working on creating your info product as you are doing your target market research so that both pieces are ready by the time we put your blog up at the end of the week.
If you have questions as you work on your info product, make sure to stop by the forum. My Teacher Assistants have been helping with TONS of questions and I’ve been there myself too! We’ll get you rolling quickly!

P.S. Again, I can’t stress enough the importance of having an info product in ANY business. It can be free or it can be pa’id, but you MUST have one. We’ll go over more about WHY later this week. In the meantime, though, you can’t wait to start creating yours. You’re going to need it by the time we put up your blog at the end of this week. The best guide I’ve ever seen to help you create your info product using PLR materials is at:

It’s less than the price of a McDonald’s lunch and it will make all the difference in the success of your business!

I was interested in buying that PLR profits book, but the price is too high. Yeah, i know it may not seem like much, but when you have a tight marketing budget, $40-$50 dollars seems like a lot…lol.
