If you’re thinking that I thought up today’s title on my own, then you’re wrong!

I always believe in giving credit where credit is due.  So I’d better ‘fess up …

Today’s subject line is taken from a thread in the forum. In it, one of the 30-Day Challenge IM Participants (and a personal friend as well), Michael Spindlemen, shares the story of how he was “foundering around mastering self failure” before finding the 30-Day IM Challenge, the lessons, and the forum.

This seems to be a common feeling for many participants.

You know that feeling … it’s the one where for every step forward that you take, you also end up taking 2 steps backward.

It’s the one where no matter how many home study courses you buy, no matter how many ebooks you download, and no matter how many teleconferences you attend, you just can’t seem to get the hang of putting all the pieces togther.

If this is where you’re at, then I’m sorry to tell you, but you’re “floundering around mastering self failure”.

I’ve said this before, but it deserves saying again …

Human beings are the only animals on this planet that continue to do the same things, over and over again, somehow expecting that they will get different results.

It doesn’t happen that way!

If you want different results, the only way to get them is to do something different!

That’s why so many are getting so much out of the 30-Day IM Challenge lessons, the forum, and the teleconferences.

They’re finally DOING SOMETHING DIFFERENT!

And guess what?

It’s working!

They’re all seeing different results!  BETTER results, as a matter of fact!

And I’m so proud of each and every person participating in the challenge.  When I share the stories with my husband, I’m literally beaming from ear to ear.

Since I was never blessed with children, my students have become my children.  To me, it’s no different than your child coming home with their first A on their report card.

The thing is … each person that I teach is almost like my own child bringing me that first A.

This makes me want to help even more!

One of the things that is bringing some of the best results in the shortest amount of time, with the least amount of effort for my students is social marketing.

More specifically, a combination of Facebook, Twitter, and MyBlogLog, are helping my coaching students to see traffic to their websites, opt ins to their list, and even sales in their pockets!

In fact, for one student on a call about 2 weeks ago, a brand spanking new Facebook account brought in the first sale while we were still on the call that week!

For another student who had tried just about every type of traffic generation, who had been spending more than $1,000 per month on pay-per-click, and who had never gotten a single sa’le from any of it …

The answer turned out to be MyBlogLog.  Using MyBlogLog to drive traffic to his site, he was able to get more than 100 visitors to his blog by the end of his first week!

Those visitors were opting into his list at a rate of about 20%, giving him 20 new subscribers a day!

And just about anyone really trying Twitter is seeing BIG results quickly!

But in order to make any of these work for you, you’ve got to use them strategically.

I know I say that often, but it’s really true.

Without a strategic plan, none of the traffic generation strategies are going to result in much traffic at all, and none of the traffic will result in cold, hard cash in the bank.

So how do you use these strategies strategically?

Well, that was the topic of our teleconference yesterday.

On yesterday’s call, I went through the Traffic Sources worksheet that I’ve shared with you previously to explain exactly how to put together your traffic generation plan.

I then went on to explain a simple, 6-step process that you use each and every day to bring consistent traffic to your site on an ongoing basis.

And then I showed you how to truly EXPLODE your traffic by adding a combination of Facebook, Twitter, MySpace, and Squidoo to the mix.

The strategies are there in the recording.  But even though the call lasted over 2 hours with all of the questions and answers, we didn’t have time to go through the specific step-by-step process that you follow to implment these strategies.

Through social marketing you’re building strong relationships with your audience.  Those relationships are what help you to bring in sles on a long term, consistent basis.

It’s time to stop floundering in self defeat and take action!
