Here are the keys to the kingdom. . .
As you know, I’ve just recently extended the 30–Day IM Challenge to 40 days because I’ve been so slow in getting the lessons put together for you. That does NOT, however, mean that you should be slacking too!
So … while you’re waiting for “little miss slow-poke” to get caught up, what SHOULD you be doing in your business?
Mighty good question!
Since you’ve had all this extra time to implement the earlier lessons, you have absolutely NO excuse if you don’t have your blog up yet!
By now you should be blogging DAILY.
That means that you should be getting visitors each day to your blog. It also means that you sould be getting new subscribers to your blog on a reglar basis.
AND — if you’re doing as good of a job as one of my apprentices, Wanda Dixon of www.StayHealthyAndSlim.com — you could even have 2 sales of your product with as few as 3 short posts!
If you’re dong as good job as one of my MLM2.0 Blueprint students, Dawn Larson of www.naturalforu.com, and you’ve not only started blogging, but you’ve tied your blog to some social networking profiles, then you could even have your first sales from Facebook in less than 10 days!
Why is it that students like Wanda and Dawn are able to see sales so quickly while others using the same strategies are still sitting there waiting for their first visitors to even show up?
Ahhh … interesting question, isn’t it?
There is one little thing that is bringing both Wanda and Dawn results.
That one little thing is something that we’ve talked about before only a few weeks ago, too.
Do you remember what it could be?
Ok, let me just tell you …
Wanda and Dawn are seeing actual SALES from their efforts (even though they have less than 25 visitors to their blogs each day) because of …
THEIR WORDS !
There is real power in words.
Words SELL!
Words cause peope to FEEL real emotions.
Words cause people to TAKE ACTION.
Which words you use and how you use them will DRASTICALLY changed your results!
HOW you use those words will also massively impact your results.
In fact, as an entrepreneur, do you know what your #1 skill needs to be?
It is NOT using your computer.
It has NOTHING to do with creating graphics.
It has nothing to do with audio, video, or any other
techie subject.
Your #1 skill MUST be WRITING and COMMUNICATING if you ever hope to make any real cash in your business.
Your words are important for many different reasons …
Through your words, you build relationships.
It is your words that will make you stand out from the crowd and make your visitors take the action you want them to take.
Without well written emails, blog posts, opt in pages, sales pages, etc., you cannot even hope to get any visitors to your sites, much less hope to make sales.
The difference between an email, a blog post, an opt in page, and a sales page is NOT that only the sales page sells.
In fact, ALL of them sell!
The difference is that they each have a different purpose, and therefore need the words to be stronger in a different way …
For a blog post, you must have strong headlines or no one will visit your blog when they see it in a social bookmarking site or in your RSS feed posted on other people’s sites.
For an email, you need both a strong subject line in order to get people to open the email and a strong call to action and PS in order to get them to click the link.
For an opt in page, you need a strong headline and a great call to action that incites someone to click on a link.
Both Dawn and Wanda are doing an awesome job of writing the titles to their blog posts. That’s causing people who see their blogs listed in social bookmarking sites to click on their links and visit their blogs.
Once people are on their blogs, they are visiting between 3 and 4 pages in a single visit! That’s helping to build the relationship IMMEDIATELY!
Then, within the content itself — not in an ad in the sidebar — these girls are offering resources that will help the reader get better results, get bigger results, get results faster, etc.
With that resource included in the article — NOT just as an ad — with only 3 blog posts on her brand new blog, Wanda got 2 sales.
Most marketers only put their ads in their sidebars. Then, in their posts, they talk about topics completely unrelated to what they are selling. That’s NOT how it works at all!
The neat thing is this …
When you are using powerful words in your titles, or in your email subject lines, or in your opt in page headlines, you are able to convert visitors to both subscribers and sales even with very, VERY few visitors!
I’ll bet that Wanda had not yet gotten a total of 300 people to visit her blog when she got her first 2 sales.
For Dawn, that number was even lower.
You see, your words allow you to build such powerful relationships with your readers that you no longer need thousands of visitors to your site in order to make real money.
Rather, you need only dozens to make SOME cash. Get HUNDREDS and you’re making a nice chunk of change.
Probably the biggest question that I hear, over and over again is this …
“Gina, I just don’t know how to write. Does that mean I’m destined to make no m’oney in my business?”
Others say something like …
“Gina, my writing looks like a kindergartner’s. How can I improve it without sp’ending thousands on a ghostwriter?”
Both questions can be answered like this …
STUDY WHAT WORKS!
What I mean by that is this …
When you’re looking at something that makes you even think about making a pu’rchase, study it to ask yourself what made you feel that way.
What WORDS is the marketer using?
What HYPNOTIC TRIGGERS is the marketer employing?
Use those items that make you want to take action to create your own little “Swipe File” and paste those words and phrases into it.
This allows you to create templates that you can use whenever you need them.
This also gives you a clue into what words you want to use when writing your blog posts, drafting your emails, etc.
Then try those words …
See what words cause your blog posts to get visitors …
See what words cause your visitors to take action …
Then TWEAK those words to make them get even better results!
