The IM University Graduate Apprenticeship Starts Next Week!
The next group of Apprentices (Group 7) starts the week of August 11, 2008. By the end of the one year program, students will have every piece of their business up, running, and getting visitors & subscribers every day, bringing them profits week after week, month after month.
Will you be one of the students who stops messing around and gets serious enough to get results in your business this year? Or will next year find you still looking for some “magic secret” that doesn’t exist?
Listen to what the current students have to say and decide for yourself …

Yesterday, I talked to one of the Apprentices who will be joining The IM University’s Group 7 Apprenticeship Program next week during a Strategy Session.
It never ceases to amaze me the caliber of people that are attracted to the program!
This student is already familiar with how you drive traffic to your site or your blog. In fact, she even teaches network marketers how to do just that! She’s been around awhile and is really familiar with things like building a list, social marketing, YouTube, and other essentials for building a business online.
So why would she be coming into the Apprenticeship Program?
Well, although she already knows how to drive traffic and build a list, she has never taken the opportunity to build a true “Profit Funnel”.
Until now, she’s been involved in network marketing companies that just haven’t brought in much in the way of profits.
So now she’s interested in really getting serious in her business.
In other words …
She’s looking for RESULTS!
In her regular “J.O.B.”, she’s a teacher. She teaches English to adults.
So she knows how important education really is. She knows how tough it can be to try to figure out all of the “gobbly gook” on your own.
That’s why she’s coming into the Program when it starts next week.
Amazingly enough, I picked up a HUGE tip from her!
(You see, teachers can also learn from their students!)
I wanted to tell you about it today because I KNOW that you’ll be able to use it in your business as well.
You hear me talking about Social Marketing all the time.
But do you KNOW what I’m talking about?
Or WHY I’m talking about it?
Social Marketing refers to those sites like Facebook,
MySpace, YouTube, Squidoo, blogs, and all of those new sites that seem to have sprung up EVERYWHERE that allow for interaction between the site visitor and the other members and/or the website owner.
Forums were an early form of Web 2.0.
They’re the sites that are built on conversations.
So why is Social Marketing such a big deal?
Well it is through those conversations that you build relationships. And it’s through those relationships that you are able to get visitors to your site.
Not just any visitors, but laser targeted visitors that convert like CRAZY!
These are people who really want to buy what you have to sell!
When you get visitors to your site because of the relationship you have with them, it takes a LOT fewer visitors to make a LOT more in sales.
So, how do you use these Social Marketing sites to drive more targeted visitors to your site?
That’s the thing …
Every single one is a little bit different.
Even sites within the same categories just don’t work the same way.
So, once you know how to use MySpace, for example, you could go on to another social networking site like Facebook, but you’ll have to learn Facebook now.
Sure, some of the features are similar, i.e. they both allow you to build lists of “friends”. But the HOW you build your friends as well as what you can do once you have friends is different from one social network to the next.
There are various categories of sites, though, that work in a similar way. Once you master one of the sites in each category, you can usually figure out the other sites in that category through trial and error.
Some of the categories include:
Social Bookmarking — these are sites like …
Digg, Delicious, StumpleUpon, Technorati, Simpy,
Furl, and hundreds of others.
They allow you to share your “favorites” or your “bookmarks” with the other members. Instead of storing them in your browser, you store them on the social bookmarking site, making your favorite visible to all of the other members.
This is used to drive traffic to your blogs and your websites.
Social Networking — these are sites like …
MySpace, Facebook, Ning.com, Dogster, Friendster, and thousands of others.
It seems like there are new social networks that spring up almost every day. I just heard about Plurk yesterday. You can even use a site like Ning.com to set up your very OWN social network and become the next MySpace if you wanted!
You use these sites to tell your story and let people get to know who you are, while at the same time giving them a taste of what your business has to offer. By adding things like your blog’s RSS feed to your profile, or putting up an ad for your products or affiliate
products, people get to know you, like you, and check out what you have.
These sites are all about the RELATIONSHIPS you build on the networks. If you’re not building relationships and adding new friends, you’re not going to get results.
Microblogging — these are sites like Twitter.
Twitter is no different that a regular blog, except that you write your “post” (or Tweet as it’s called inside of Twitter) in blocks of 140 characters or less.
Because the posts are so short, you can even receive them on your cell phone through a Text Message!
People use Twitter to stay up to date with what their friends are doing. Again, it’s a site that’s all about the RELATIONSHIPS!
You get results by first growing a list of people you follow, who in turn become your “followers” (”friends” if you use MySpace or Facebook). As you put up a new “Tweet”, it appears in the profile of anyone who is following you and is displayed to anyone who is one of their followers.
So, if you Follow Sue, and Sue happens to have more than 500 followers, every time you put out a Tweet, it will be seen by Sue and all 500 of her followers!
Include a URL or two and it will drive some SERIOUS traffic!
So how can you get up to date on how all this works?
I use about 20 or so social marketing sites at a minimum myself. The way that I learned was simply by trial and error, going and figuring it out for myself.
It’s through my trial and error as well as my testing, that I am able to hold my students’ hands while they go out and try all of the various types of social marketing for themselves.
Since I SHOW THEM how to do this in our twice weekly webinars, they are able to figure it out quickly!
Of course, if you’d like to join us in Group 7, you’re more than welcome! All the details are at:

But if you just can’t commit to a 1 year program right now, then there are still several other options …
One of the best ways for you to use social marketing right away (even TONIGHT!) is to use Social Bookmarking to drive more traffic to your blog.
Every time you put up a post on your blog and include it in the social bookmarking sites, it’s creating new backlinks to your site that help to improve your search engine rankings.
Over a short period of time, your search engine rankings grow bringing you more organic traffic AND, at the same time, you’re also getting traffic directly from the social bookmarking sites.
If you really use these sites regularly (i.e. every DAY), your traffic can get REALLY BIG, REALLY FAST!
Especially if you’re using some of the biggest sites such as Digg, Delicious, Stumble Upon, Technorati, and Simpy.
In fact, Stumble Upon can sometimes bring in as much as all the others combined!
I’ve set up a collection of Social Marketing Videos for you that will show you how to use Stumble Upon, Delicious, and Simpy.
In it, you’ll also learn to use a Social Video Network called Broadcaster, and a number of other social marketing sites as well.
You can download the entire package right now at:

This is a brand new package that I’ve not told you about before.
After you download this collection, make sure that you watch for the information about the Viral Traffic Videos that will help you even more to use Social Marketing to drive laser targeted traffic to what you have to offer!
Tomorrow, I’ll tell you more about how the Social Marketing Inner Circle can help you once you’ve already started using the social marketing sites in your business!
It’s time to go and feed the hubby. I know, it’s a little late, but its been a LONG day!
The recording to today’s call on Joint Ventures is up in the Member’s Area if you’re a Gold Challenge Member!
And, if you’re a Challenge Member, you really should be using Social Marketing to improve your results! Download the social Marketing videos at:

Does all the talk about web 2.0 leave you baffled?
Still trying to figure out the difference between social bookmarking and social networking or to figure out how each one can really make a difference in YOUR business?
You’ll not only learn HOW to use social marketing to get MUCH better results, but you’ll get my help in doing it when you join The IM University’s Graduate Apprenticeship Program. I’m only teaching this ONE LAST CLASS personally and after that, I’m turning over the reins to my coaches!
