Don’t you hate it when people complain all the time?
It makes me want to shake them until they wake up and see that the reason they’re not getting any results is because all they’re doing is complaining!
This past summer, Jon Gordon came out with a great book called “The No Complaining Rule” that’s all about getting rid of negativity in the workplace.
One of the biggest points that he makes in the book is that you’ve got to look at things as either “Have To’s” or “Get To’s”.
Those things that you HAVE to do are very few in number. They include only dying and if you live in the US, paying taxes.
Everything else is a “Get To”. In other words everything else is a PRIVILEGE!
… You GET TO have your own business, so it’s a privilege to be able to figure out how to make it successful.
… You GET TO have kids of your own to raise, so it’s a privilege to be able to deal with their crap.
… You GET TO have a car to drive, so it’s a privilege to need gas to put into it.
When you realize that everything is a PRIVILEGE and not something that you have to do, you tend to appreciate the challenges as they come up. Read more

There were some great people here this weekend like Mari Smith (the Facebook Expert), Dr. Ron Capps (the Niche Professor and a web 2.0 expert), Willie Crawford and way too many more to list here.
Over the weekend, there was one thing that just about every speaker and every panelist agreed on. And let me tell you — that doesn’t happen very often, either!
The one thing that everyone agreed on was that if you want to be successful online, you MUST be using web 2.0. More specifically, you have GOT to be using blogs, Facebook, and Twitter.
I can’t agree with these folks more, either.

What have you done that has made a real difference in the world?

I recently got an email from my buddy, Jeff Dedrick. His subject line read only “bad news on two levels”. Lower Case characters, no punctuation, no first name.
Of course, I immediately assumed that something had to be wrong with either Jeff or one of my other friends, so I opened it right away.
Luckily, my first assumption was dead wrong! Here’s what Jeff had to say …
“Have you ever had a chance to pick up an awesome deal at a store only to go there and they are sold out?
“Well, this is even worse.
“Not only is this going to be gone soon but the price is going up every minute.
“That’s right…the price is going up every minute that you wait.”
