Feedburner Adds Flickr Photos To RSS Feed To Drive Traffic!

April 17, 2009 by Gina Gaudio-Graves

It’s Friday!  Time for another weekend!  Hopefully you had a great week!

Mine was still a bit hectic, trying to catch up on everything after the Work At Home Classroom workshop and the launch of the All New 6th 30-Day IM Challenge.  But it looks like I’m finally winning the battle & the war!

Today, I’m on my way to Ross Goldberg’s “Master’s Seminar” in Tampa, FL.  I’m looking forward to seeing many of my old friends and JV Partners.  People like Eric Stafford, Simon Leung, Ross Goldberg, and others slated to be there.

I’m trying out something new this weekend that you’ll have a blast watching …

I recently found some REALLY cool features in Feedburner that I hadn’t tried before.  In case you don’t know about Feedburner, it’s a f.ree tool that helps you get better results from your blog.  One of the new features that I found gives you the ability to take pictures that you include in your Flickr account and add them to your RSS feed for your blog.  They get spliced together in date order.
Check it out to see what I mean by looking at my RSS feed at:  http://www.theimuniversity.com/rss
NOTE:  If you’re not familiar with RSS, there’s a GREAT video on using it at www.CommonCraft.com . Just scroll to the bottom and select “RSS in Plain English”. You’ll need an RSS reader in order to view this feed.  If you’re using either Internet Explorer 7 or Firefox, your feed reader is already built into your browser. If you’re using another browser, then you’ll need to have a reader to see this feed.

With my Google Phone, I can take some really great quality pictures (it’s like a 12 megapixel camera). All I have to do is send them via email to my Flickr account with a few touches of the screen.

As long as I have the ‘Photo Splicer’ feature enabled on the “optimize” tab of my Feedburner account, they automatically get added to my blog’s feed — even though they aren’t added to the posts on my blog at all.

So why is this such a big deal?  How can this help you to get better results in your business?

For most of my students, getting a new blog post up every day can be quite challenging.  On the other hand, just taking a simple picture and sending it to their Flickr account — that they can handle!

The thing is, when you skip days of posting to your blog and your RSS feed, your traffic numbers slip big time!  It’s not unusual when you’re just getting your blog rolling for you to get only 1 or 2 visitors on a day where there’s no activity on your blog.

But with the addition of a single photo — even one added through your RSS feed — you can maintain a steady stream of traffic!

AND — you can continue to build relationships with your audience CONSISTENTLY!

That’s what blogging is all about really — building relationships AND driving traffic, BOTH!  If you haven’t gotten started blogging yourself yet, you really don’t want to wait another minute!  Blogging is the easiest way to get great search engine rankings!  Blogging is the fastest way of driving traffic to your products or affiliate products!  Blogging is one of the BEST ways of building a list!

I’m not suggesting that you need to go out and reinvent the wheel here.  You can even use my blog as an example for setting up your own!  You’ll find it at: http://www.theimuniversity.com

What kind of results can you expect when you’re blogging consistently?  Let me give you a quick example …

About 6 weeks ago, I held the “Blogging Systems Live Workshop”.  Do you remember it?  http://www.askggg.com/bloggingcall

One of the attendees had no blog and no list prior to the event.  After the call, he immediately put up his first blog and used it to start building his list.
I gotta tell you — I’m really darned impressed with his results, too!

I mean, building an opt in list of more than 10,000+ new subscribers in well under 2 months — from traffic that was generated just from the search engines is something that EVERY entrepreneur wants!

Wouldn’t you like to have that kind of a list (and that kind of traffic!) in your business?

This huge opt in list was a direct result of using my blogging system!  And before you start thinking that I’m trying to stretch the truth here in some way, let me just make this clear …

No, he didn’t start out with a big list.  (He didn’t have an opt in list at ALL when he started using this system!)

No, he didn’t start out with tens of thousands of visitors coming to his site every day either.

What he did start out with was the drive and determination to get RESULTS!  And, he did one thing that most people do not do …

He put what he learned into ACTION!

KNOWLEDGE + ACTION = RESULTS!

It’s an equation that works over and over again!

Have you taken ACTION on what knowledge you have?

If you haven’t taken as much action as you should, then make today the day that you start!

Here’s where you can watch what I’m doing and copy it to use for your own business:

*  MY BLOG — http://www.theimuniversity.com

*  MY RSS FEED (combines my blog & my Flickr account) — http://www.theimuniversity.com/rss

*  WHAT’S GINA UP TO? (combines ALL of my social activity into one single page & even includes a real time satellite view of where I’m at!) — http://www.askggg.com/wheresgina

While I’m at Ross’s seminar this weekend, I have two REALLY huge surprises that will be released ONLY from my blog!

One of these surprises will help you to:

*  Drive 1,000 to 5,000 laser targeted visitors to your site each day,

*  Add 10,000+ (or MORE!) New subscribers to your opt in list,

*  Create your very own info product effortlessly (even if you’ve got no experience with info products and no area of expertise either!), without ever writing a word yourself and

* Have a system for selling HUNDREDS or even THOUSANDS of copies on autopilot! …

… Without ever spending a single cent for any of the traffic, opt ins, product creation, or sales!

HINT:  You’ll find part of it at http://www.askggg.com/jvsystems

The second will help you to bring in CONSISTENTLY at least a 5-Figure per month within the next 12 months.  This means bringing in 1,000 to 5,000 unique visitors each month with purely organic (meaning F.REE traffic).  This also means having a list of your own and at least one product of your own as well.

HINT:  This has NEVER been offered before!

The best place to get the details is on my blog’s RSS feed and on the blog itself!  Watch for all the details over the next 48 hours at:

*  MY BLOG — http://www.theimuniversity.com

*  MY RSS FEED (combines my blog & my Flickr account) — http://www.theimuniversity.com/rss

*  WHAT’S GINA UP TO? (combines ALL of my social activity into one single page on my blog & even includes a real time satellite view of where I’m at!) –  http://www.askggg.com/wheresgina

Don’t forget to mark your calendar for April 26th & 27th to attend the “JV Miracle Systems Workshop”! For the first time EVER, I’m releasing my complete Joint Venture Miracle System.  This is the same exact system I used to pull in more than $4.2 million in a week for Shawn Casey and more than $350,000+ for a newbie product creator.  Only 100 seats are available!  Reserve yours now at:  —> http://www.askggg.com/jvsystems
