What a week!

It started out on Monday in Washington, D.C. with meetings at the end of JVAlert that produced some of the biggest joint venture deals I’ve ever had the privilege to be a part of!

Tuesday, I was able to rearrange my schedule to spend the entire day with my good friends, David & Susan Preson and Jason Oman (my husband, Bill and assistant, Michelle were there too!), touring all of Washington, D.C.  David and I had been trying to spend a day together for quite awhile and it was truly a day that neither of us will ever forget!

The rest of the week was spent enroute to dropping Jason Oman off in Atlanta.  What an amazing guy he is!

I wanted so badly for our time together to never end that I didn’t even mind Bill taking 3 1/2 days to make the 11 hour drive.  We had such a GREAT time!

In case you don’t know Jason, let me tell you a bit  about him.  (That way you’ll understand why it was such an amazing week!)

Jason is the co-author of the best selling book, “Conversations With Millionaires”.

His book became a best seller because of the system that he used to create and launch it.  That system then became the subject of a series of info products and courses that Jason created, all having to do with writing a best selling book and launching it into a best seller.

Jason’s also got a product called “Millionaire Money Formula” that I can’t recommend highly enough!  It tells the story of how Jason went from being a 31 year old, near homeless loser to being a money making genius!

A little over a year ago, Jason suffered from a brain aneurysm.  He was only 36 years old at the time and almost died several times because of it.

The first few months, Jason really had no memory at all.  It was only with extensive therapy that he was able to regain his life.

However, even today as he gets back to work building his own business, he still suffers severely from short term memory loss.

He can remember long term without any trouble at all, so he remembers “Conversations With Millionaires”, how he built his business, how he turned his book into a best seller, all his friends from way back then, etc.

But, if you ask him what he ate for breakfast he’s likely to respond with something like, “I ate breakfast?”

Every night this past week, Jason and I stayed up until the wee hours of the morning talking, strategizing, brain storming, and exchanging ideas for our businesses.

Our conversations would go from ideas about how to improve Jason’s short term memory to strategies and systems for building businesses and writing books.

There was one thing that kept resounding in my mind over and over again all week long …

It was SO cool to see someone who had such a magnificent, positive mindset and outlook on life — even though only a short time ago, his life was almost over.

It was even more cool to realize that although he had faced significant medical bills (multiple brain surgeries can do that to you sometimes!), and although we’re in such terrible economic conditions right now, Jason never really had to worry about mo’ney at all.

No, he wasn’t born with a silver spoon in his mouth or with rich parents.

No, his best selling book didn’t stuff his bank account with more mo’ney than he could ever spend.

What really allowed him to survive financially was the info products that he had online.  The info products are what brings in cash like clock work, over and over again, week in and week out — whether he was in the hospital, in rehab, or back to work, living with the curve ball that life had thrown him.

And boy is he ever back to work!  Like me, Jason also walked away from JVAlert with a few joint venture deals in his back pocket.

After spending the week with Jason, I am more excited than ever about the upcoming “Info Product SystemsWorkshop Webinar” and what it will do for each and every person who attends and applies what they learn!

I’ve seen first hand how devastating an unexpected but serious illness can be to a family’s financial  condition.

Info on how to cope with the emotional side of an economic slowdown
Info on how to keep their marriage while fighting about money

You name the subject, people WANT information about it and they’re willing to spend their last few dollars on it, provided they really see the information as a solution to their pain!

The thing is, if you are the source of that information, not only do you make money from sales of the information itself, you also build relationships with people at the same time.

When you solve someone’s problem, they see you as their savior and they’re willing to listen to you again and again!

No matter how depressed the economy gets, people still have major needs that they are going to spend money on.

The people that they choose to spend their money with are going to be those people who they have relationships with.  They’re likely to be more choosey about who these people are.

Which also means that for someone who’s just out there selling “stuff” and not building relationships through info products, the economic downturn is likely to affect their business badly as well.

But for those who first focus on building relationships by helping others solve their problems, new customers are around every corner!

It’s like my friend, David Preston, says all the time:

“Focus first on helping someone else get what THEY want, and in return, you’ll get plenty of what YOU want too!”
