This is perhaps the most important message you have ever read!
I’m certain that it will at least be the most important message you’ve read this month!
No, this isn’t some hype filled s’ales pitch.
This message comes from my heart as I truly want to help you succeed and get those things that you want most in life!
Now, take a minute to stop what you’re doing and focus on the message below. You’ll want to take some notes as this message includes an exercise that will help you immediately!
What can be so important that I am asking you to set aside all distractions as you read this email?
Last night, I had a conversation with one of my good friends, David Granoff. Earlier this year, David almost died after he ate contaminated food at an Indian restaurant.
As we chatted, we started talking about how life changes once you have had a near death experience. This made me even more aware that you shouldn’t have to wait until you almost die to learn a HUGE lesson that will surely impact just about every aspect of your life.
What lesson am I referring to?
It’s a lesson that is very appropriate given that today is a day of Thanksgiving here in the United States.
If you’re in the US, you’re no doubt spending your day with family and friends celebrating the Thanksgiving holiday.
The Thanksgiving holiday has been commercialized so much that we often forget the real meaning of the day.
Today, we celebrate Thanksgiving by eating tons of great food such as turkey, dressing, cranberry sauce, stuffing, mashed potatoes, and more.
We celebrate the holiday by going shopping on “Black Friday”, the day after Thanksgiving. This is the day when stores offer some of the lowest prices of the year to people willing to get in line in the wee hours of the morning to get special
deals.
These are all the commercial elements of the day. They completely miss the point of what the day is all about!
It bugs me a LOT that so many of our holidays are so commercialized that we lose the true meaning of the holiday entirely!
What is Thanksgiving really about?
It’s a day where we show our gratitude for the many gifts we have in our life.
It’s a day where we should be contemplating all the many privileges and gifts that we have been given.
To understand what Thanksgiving is all about — and the lesson that comes with it — you need to know a bit about the history of the Thanksgiving holiday …
The Thanksgiving holiday was started back in the 1600’s by the Pilgrims who had migrated to America from Europe. It is NOT a day that came about to thank native americans for saving the lives of the Pilgrims as so many Americans truly believe.
Rather, it is a day of celebration that came about after many of the original Pilgrims died because of the lack of resources once they landed in America.
These Pilgrims originally lived in a form of socialism where the Pilgrims owned everything as a community and they shared the fruits of their labors with their sponsors back in England. This system didn’t offer any rewards for people who were willing to work extra hard — they didn’t get any additional benefit from their efforts as everything went into the community pool.
The feast of Thanksgiving came about after the original governor of the new land set up a different system that gave each family a tract of land to work and manage, allowing them to keep the fruits of their labor for themsleves.
As this new system took root, free enterprise was born! These were the first “entrepreneurs” of the new land!
The result?
Well, the Pilgrims found they had more food than they could eat themselves so they set up trading posts and exchanged goods with one another and the Native Americans. Soon, they had profits that allowed them to pay off their debts to their sponsors, allowing them even further
success.
Under this new econmic system, the Pilgrims were able to prosper. Because of their devotion to their God and His laws, they set aside a day of Thanksgiving once each year to celebrate and recognize that everything they had was a gift from God. Thanksgiving was a way for them to thank their God for all that they had.
The more that the Pilgrims gave thanks for all that they had, the more prosperous they became!
This is what Thanksgiving is really all about!
For those of us who are entrepreneurs — people who are living lives in the free enterprise system that was established by the original Pilgrims — we should set aside time on a regular basis (not just on Thanksgiving, but regularly throughout the year) to give thanks for all of the gifts and privileges that we have!
Jon Gordon’s book, “The No Complaining Rule”, explains that with only a handful of exceptions, everything in life is a privlege…
… You don’t HAVE to work, you GET to work.
Think of all those who live in third world countries, or those who live in areas where there are no jobs whatsoever, where there is no way to start a business either. They would LOVE to have the privilege of holding a job or starting their own business!
… You don’t HAVE to raise children, you GET to raise children.
Think of all those who are unable to have children. Folks who suffer from some condition that prevents them from getting pregnant for whatever the reason. These people would love to have children that they could reprimand because for them, it would mean that they would have children to raise in the first place!
… You don’t HAVE to p’ay your bills, you GET to pay for the things you have in life.
If you have bills to pay, this also means that you have received things that resulted in the bills in the first place. If you have electric bills, it means you have electricity! If you have credit card bills, it means you have purchased items on credit! Be grateful for the things that you received that resulted in the bills, rather than looking at the bills as a “have to”.
… You don’t HAVE to cope with pain, you GET to cope with pain!
Think about all those who have leprosy who not only feel no pain because of their damaged nerve roots, they also feel no emotions either.
They don’t have tears, they usually cannot smile. For them, a life with no pain comes with the consequences of not feeling anything at all! Often, the results are broken limbs, piercing holes in their feet from stepping on things that they cannot feel, etc.
Someone with leprosy would gladly give anything to feel pain!
Just about anything you think of in a negative way is truly a PRIVLEGE and must be treated as such!
When you can wrap your mind around the concept of “Get to” instead of looking at things as “Have to”, everything in life takes on new meaning and you become very grateful for all that you have!
What are YOU grateful for today?
What privleges do YOU have in life for which you should be giving thanks?
Today, I am grateful for many, MANY things! I am grateful for …
* Having a husband who loves me, who is truly my soul mate, who is willing to allow me to serve others through my business, and who stands by and supports me in whatever I want to do without ever demanding that I do anything other than live life on my terms.
* LIFE! Having been at death’s doorstep, even having a life more than 12 to 18 months after the doctors said I would die is a true gift and a privlege!
* Great Friends! Most of my friends today came into my world because of my business or because of my traveling lifestyle. I am grateful for having such great friends who support me, who love me unconditionally, and who are willing to give me a hand whenever I may need it. These are people like:
— Louis Burleson (who is now my Content and Affiliate Manager)
— Doug & Terri Champigny (who I consider some of our dearest friends on this planet)
— Liz Tomey and her husband Jamie (although we don’t ever have enough time to spend with them, we cherish every moment that we get to spend with them!)
— David Granoff (a dear friend who I initially met because he was a customer. Today, David is someone who I can count on for just about anything and someone who I admire greatly. He can always puts a smile on my face and I know when I am down, that he is only a phone call away!)
— Stephanie Frank (who I consider one of my mentors and someone I can count on for just about anything)
— Michelle Alvarez (my personal assistant and someone that I know will go out of her way to help me anytime I need it)
— Rick Beneteau and his fiance, Jennifer (Rick is my co-founder in 10 Million Clicks For Peace. He is someone who supports my efforts wholeheartedly and is always there to lend a hand or a shoulder whever I need it)
— Jim Davis (Although I don’t get to see Jim nearly enough, he is someone who I both admire and respect and someone that I have learned many life lessons from over the years!)
— and way too many more to list!
* A business that allows me to live a dream lifestyle, traveling 365 days of the year! That means that I am also grateful for all of my customers and even my prospects for without them (and YOU!), my “business” would be nothing more than a glorified hobby!
* And so much more (but I don’t want to keep you here all day!)
Why is it so important to be grateful for the gifts and privleges that you have in life?
Gratitude is one of the natural laws of the universe.
When you are grateful for something, you get a good feeling inside almost instantly!
More importantly, when you are truly grateful for the things that you have, you will learn to recognize, feel and express all that you are thankful for!
Quantum scientists have proven that when you take the time to express your thankfulness, you release powerful immune-boosting endorphins in your brain! Your coronary arteries also relax, bringing more blood to your heart. Being thankful can even increase the oxygen leel to all your tissues, too!
When you are thankful, both anger and fear tend to disappear as well, since it’s impossible to feel both the postive emotion that comes with being grateful while also feeling a negative emotion like anger or fear.
When you are truly grateful, and you take time to express your gratitude, you will AUTOMATICALLY attract more people, things, and events into your life that you can be even more grateful for!
As you become aware of all that you are grateful for, you will find that you no longer focus on all that you don’t have, but instead, you will will focus on all that you DO have!
In other words, rather than coming from a place of scarcity and lack, you will shift into an attitude of abundance and plenty! This will in turn draw more abundance to you — on autopilot!
On this day of Thanksgiving, take the time to list out on PAPER — all that you are grateful for!
Start by making a list of the people you are grateful for, including the reason you are grateful for that person.
Then move on to the big things in your life for which you are grateful. These are things like your home, your car, your business, etc.
Next, move on to list the smaller things for which you are grateful. This may be things like the lights that keep your home bright, the clothes that keep you warm and dry, the food that keeps your body energized, etc.
List out everything that you can think of!
When you are finished with your gratitude list, you should be totally amazed at all the great people and things that you have in your life!
Do NOT make the mistake of missing the true value of all the things that you have right NOW!
Most people spend so much time looking at all the things that they do NOT have, that they totally miss out on the value of the great things that they already have — RIGHT NOW! Don’t let this be you are you will always struggle in life trying to get more “stuff” that doesn’t bring any greater value or joy into your life!
As you complete your gratitude list, you will find yourself becoming happier, more positive, and above all, more relaxed and focused! All of which will help you achieve more than ever before!
The Law of Gratitude is just one of the natural laws that you want to use in your life. There are many, MANY more!
All of these natural laws can help you to create a more positive mindset and a lifestyle of abundant positivity.
You can learn how to use all of the natural laws to achieve the success you are looking for when you attend the “Mindset Systems Workshop Webinar” on December 5th and 6th.
When you attend this workshop webinar from the comfort of your home, you’ll immediately begin to feel the power of having an abundant, success mindset and a lifestyle of abundant positivity.
The result will be that you will get more enjoyment from your relationships.
You will be happier with your life.
You will be able to focus more on the right things — and in turn, this focus will help you to attract more into your life!
I can be certain of these things because they happened to me when I began adopting an abundant, success mindset into my life a few years ago as I went through my miraculous transformation and overcame the death sentence given to me by my doctors.
