What have you done that has made a real difference in the world?

I’ve set up a joint venture with the folks at 10 Million Clicks For Peace that will allow those participating in Blog Action Day 2008 to also become a voice for peace at the same time. It doesn’t require any additional effort whatsoever. But the impact will be MUCH greater!

I recently got an email from my buddy, Jeff Dedrick. His subject line read only “bad news on two levels”. Lower Case characters, no punctuation, no first name.
Of course, I immediately assumed that something had to be wrong with either Jeff or one of my other friends, so I opened it right away.
Luckily, my first assumption was dead wrong! Here’s what Jeff had to say …
“Have you ever had a chance to pick up an awesome deal at a store only to go there and they are sold out?
“Well, this is even worse.
“Not only is this going to be gone soon but the price is going up every minute.

The Third 30-Day IM Challenge Begins… Are You Ready?

I know I’ve been a bit quiet the last few days. I decided to take a short, impromptu vacation.
Before I tell you WHY I would decide to take an impromptu vacation, let me tell you what we’ve been up to the last few days …
The last time I wrote you, we were just leaving Burlington, VT en route to Las Vegas, NV.

For the first time in the 4 years that we’ve been on the road, we FINALLY don’t have a super tight travel schedule! We can actually have a leisurely drive this trip and take our time getting to where we’re going.

I can’t believe it’s almost fall! The leaves are actually starting to change here in northern Indiana/southern Michigan, nights are getting colder every day. It’s only going to be 54 degrees F. tonight!
I was talking to my mother-in-law this afternoon at a little get-together they planned to say goodbye to us before we shove off and hit the road again tomorrow. Neither of us could believe how fast this year has passed us by!
The kids are already back in school …
The brisk fall nights are starting early …
Football is back on TV (YEAHHH!!) …
Walgreens already has CHRISTMAS stuff out on their shelves!
And it really got me to thinking about my goals for 2008. With only MONTHS left in the year, and not much time remaining before the snow flakes begin to fall, how have I done on reaching the goals I was so excited about on New Years?
