Can You Write Copy in 90 minutes or less?

For about the 3rd weekend in a row, I’m spending my weekend at another marketing event.  I have two more weekends of the same before we leave Atlanta (including a speaking engagement at Keith
Wellman’s seminar in two weeks).

At every event, I hear people saying that there are two things holding them back …

1)  Not having a product of their own, and

2)  Not being a good writer.

The two are often related, really.  Folks always seem to think that in order to have a product, they need to be a writer. But that couldn’t be farther than the truth!

Yesterday, at David Perdew’s Niche Affiliate Marketing System Workshop, a group of experts laid out the entire process for creating an info product in only 90 minutes.  They wanted to show everyone just how easy it is in a way that they could easily understand.  How did they do that?

The product creation part of the project was the easiest piece.  The thing that took the longest was writing the copy!

I was working with a few attendees on this topic yesterday and the advice I gave them is the same advice I’m giving you…

Don’t even try to write copy from scratch! Instead, use templates!

I don’t think I’ve ever written ANY copy from scratch.

Not EVER!

Think about it…

Why would I even want to write something from scratch?  It wouldn’t be tested yet, so it would take me more work to do that.  And, since it’s not tested, I would have no way of knowing whether it would work, so it wouldn’t make me as much money.

By using a template, I make more money with less work. That’s what it’s all about in the end, right?
