Higher Search Rankings Are The KEY To Targeted Traffic

What a call we had yesterday! I actually lasted a full 4 HOURS!
What did we cover on that call?
Well, the biggest topic was how you use your blog as the heart of your business to both build your list, build a relationship with your audience, AND make sales on an ongoing basis.
Check out the recording now at:
http://www.askggg.com/callblog
(I’m warning you now — it’s a HUGE file!)
Next Tuesday, May 20th at 2:00 pm est, I’ll be back for another f’ree teleconference. This time we’ll be talking about “Using Joint Ventures to Get Products of Your Own, Build a HUGE Opt In List, and Bring in TONS of Sales — all in Less Than 30 Days!”
I don’t do this topic often (and it’s almost NEVER free when I do this call) so mark your calendars now to be there! I’ll send details over the weekend!
What I wanted to talk to you about today is one of the BIGGEST sources of traffic that you’ll ever have in your business.
This biggest source of traffic is 100% f’ree.
This biggest source of traffic is easy to get when you use your blog as the heart of your traffic generation system.
This biggest source of traffic will bring you the most targeted visitors you’ll ever get (helping to increase your conversions at the same time).
Have you figured out yet what your #1 biggest source of traffic will be?
The ANSWER:
Organic (FREE!) Search Engine Visitors
Yep, that’s right — you can easily get more traffic from search engines, for f’ree, than from just about any other traffic source out there.
The trick, though, is that you must first get your site indexed on the first page or two in the search engines for highly searched terms.
How can you do this?
Well, first off, you can use your blog.
In your blog posts, you then want to make sure that both your posts and the titles are using keywords that are heavily searched.
You want to make sure that your blog title uses keywords that are searched often too.
The same is true with the categories on your blog, and with the pages on your blog.
Of course, you’re still going to have other pages like opt in pages, sales pages, etc. where it is equally important to use keywords that are heavily searched. You then link from your blog (both in the sidebar and in the individual posts) to those external pages.
Once you already have all these keywords used on your site, then it’s time to start getting incoming links to the sites to push your listings to the top of the search engines.
That’s where using a blog can make a HUGE difference.
When you use a blog, you can do things like:
1) Social bookmark each post
2) Add your blog to RSS feed directories each day
3) Comment on other people’s blogs (especially those with a PR of 5 or higher) each day
4) Add your blog’s RSS feed to a Squidoo Lens, your Facebook profile, etc.
5) and MORE!
All of these things will help your search engine rankings to increase. The more incoming links that you have, the higher those rankings will be.
Once you have decent rankings, you’ll get visitors. It’s as simple as that!
Once you have visitors — whether from the search engines or directly from the efforts you are making to get those rankings in the first place — then it’s a matter of making your pages appealing to the visitors to get them to convert to opt ins and sales.
Many people use video on their pages to make them more appealing to visitors.
The thing is, when you use video, you lose the opportunity to use plenty of highly searched keywords in the text on that page. Sure, you can use “alt” tags. But you can only get so many keywords into them.
Other people use flash animations to make their pages look really hot.
Again, though, you have the same problem as you do with video. You lose the ability to put in those great keywords in the text on the page.
What you want to do is to find a way to make your pages look hot while at the same time still continue to use text on the page.
For example, take a look at:
In the headline on that page, you’ll notice that the text rotates. It even changes some of the text from blue to red. It could even underline text in what appears to be a flash image.
But — there’s something else at work there …
Go ahead and try to highlight the text in that headline. You’ll find that you can actually copy and paste that text — even though it LOOKS like it’s a
flash image.
What this means is that to the search engines, the page will contain all the keywords that are in the headline.
Yet, to the site visitor, the page will look high-tech and visually appealing.
This will not only help you to get MORE traffic from organic (free) search engines, but it will also help to CONVERT that traffic into BUYERS!
How cool is that?
As you add other elements to your pages such as checkmarks, bullets, buttons, or other graphics (such as all of the hundreds of images that are in the Web Elements package at http://www.askggg.com/cooleffects ),
make sure that you are using “alt image” tags.
This means that although you are displaying an image, the search engine sees a piece of text tied to that image. That way you can even get keyword value from your images AND from the text on your pages.
You want to use focused sets of keywords on each page that you create.
If you’re writing a blog post, pick one or two keywords to focus on in that one post.
In the next post, focus on one or two more.
If you’re creating an opt in page, again, limit yourself to focusing on one or two keywords at most in the text, in the headline, and in the alt image tags for that page.
This is how you get great search engine rankings.
Just remember one thing …
No matter how much traffic you’re getting to your blog or website, it is ONLY valuable to you if it converts into either an opt in or a sale!
That means that you MUST design your pages to be as attractive to your audience as possible.
That means that you MUST design your pages to grab your visitors attention.
That means that your pages MUST be visually appealing.
BUT … do NOT do this at the expense of the search engines!
You must have BOTH a page that has keywords built into it AND a page that is visually appealing or you will not end up with traffic that converts into anything!
When you design your pages with your audience in mind, it helps to build the relationship with your visitors.
It is through that relationship that you will eventually turn that visitor from a prospect into a buyer.
That’s what it’s all about.
That’s why I’ve put together the “Power Effects Package” for you that contains:
* The killer tool that allows your text to appear as if it is a flash animation, helping you both to get better search rankings AND build a relationship with
your visitors
* A Video Squeeze Page Template Collection so that all of your squeeze pages can contain videos instructing your visitors on how to opt into your list (while at the same time containing keywords in the alt image tags to ensure high search rankings)
* A 2-Volume Collection of Sales Pages Graphics that will give you more buttons, bullets, checkmarks, icons, arrows, and other design elements than you’ll ever be able to use!
AND — I’ve priced this at less than a third of what all 3 packages sell for normally on other sites!

I think that learning SEO is so important. I cringe when I visit a site that is losing traffic due to flash. Flash is an SEO killer.

SEO is both very important to do well in search engines…and also very rewarding when you do it right and see good results. Targeting the right keyword or thrase for the visitors you want is very imporant. Don’t go for the uber popular terms unless you have a massive high authority site…high volume…but not too high works well for me. Cheers.
